SAURASHTRA EDUCATION FOUNDATION (SEF)

A Voluntary Service Organisation, non political and not for profit, came into being on GANDHI JAYANTI of 1977 at the initiative of Late Shri Amritlal Yagnik, an educationist and a Prof. of Ruia College, Matunga, Mumbai who inspired few Saurashtrians residing at Bombay (Now Mumbai) to discharge their obligation to their native region \"Saurashtra\" as level of education in Saurashtra was going bad to worst.

Saurashtra region comprises of seven districts Amreli, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbundar, Rajkot and Surendranagar of Gujarat state of INDIA

Thus Ten founder members from different places came together to do “Something” for education and a society Saurashtra Education Foundation was formed and registered at Rajkot and Mumbai as additional place

THE MAIN OBJECTIVE /MISSIONOF SEF IS
To improve and/or raise the educational standard of students in Saurashtra with a view to have economical, social and cultural development of Saurashtra.
